William Lambros

Biography

William H. Lambros, Vice President, XL Catlin, has been in the insurance industry for 30 years.  He began his career in National Account Claims in the 1980's with the Aetna Casualty & Surety in New York City.  In 1992, Bill moved to Hartford, Connecticut, to work in the Aetna Home Office Claim Department as a Claim Consultant overseeing Large Losses for designated Claim Service Centers.  With the Aetna/Travelers merger in the 1990's, Bill began working in the Travelers Products and International Unit and ultimately became a Director in the Travelers Home Office Claim Department where he assisted field offices with managing catastrophic losses.  In 1999 Bill moved to Discover Re, an Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) insurer, where he began managing losses for individual risk clients and captive programs and eventually ran the entire Liability Claims area for Discover Re as Vice President.  In the Spring of 2010, Bill began working at SPARTA Insurance Company as Senior Vice President & Claims Officer.  In September 2014 Catalina purchased SPARTA Insurance where Bill was also a Senior Vice President.  As Vice President for XL Catlin, Bill is a Liability Claim Line Lead for TPA Claims – North America.
