Diane Messerschmitt

Biography

Diane Messerschmitt is currently President of United Claims Service, Inc. out of Babylon, New York, which is a full service IA and TPA company that has earned the certification of a NYS Certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE). She steps into this role after spending time as an Assistant Vice President at Allied World in Excess Casualty.  Previously she served as a Division Claims Manager with Lancer Insurance Company for  21 years, where she managed high exposure Commercial Motor Vehicle cases and specialized in trucking, buses, and limousine losses as well as being a part of an Immediate Response team. She also provided risk managment training, and participated in multiple industry trade shows. In earlier claim roles, Ms. Messerschmitt worked at Progressive Insurance as a Casualty Specialist/Casualty Team Leader, and she started her insurance career at Liberty Mutual Insurance handling multiple lines.  

Diane is part of the leadership team of the Long Island Claims Litigation Management Alliance, currently serving as President. She is also a member of CLM's Alternative Dispute Resolution team.
She is a proud member of the inaugural class at CLM's School of Transportation and has earned the designation of ACP.  She is a faculty member for the School of Mediation and School of Transportation, and has spoken at numerous conferences and events on a variety of topics that affect our industry today.
