Selena Ho

Biography

Selena has more than 27 plus years of marine claims handling experiences in all lines of marine insurance - Cargo, Hull/P&I, Liability, Motor Truck Cargo Legal Liability.  She had worked at AIG for 18 years from being a senior claims adjuster to cargo claims manager to AVP/regional claims manager, handled all lines of wet marine claims and litigation for the mid-west region.  Before AIG, she was with Intercargo Insurance Company and Washington International Insurance Company, two specialty insurance companies that provided marine insurance to mainly freight forwarders and trucking companies.  Selena has achieved a reputation in the marine claims arena as a professional of integrity, promptness and fairness in delivering satisfactory results.  She is skilled in building strong, rewarding work relationships with brokers/clients/underwriters/vendors, and managing/supervising/mentoring staff.

Currently at Markel, as Senior Claims Examiner, Selena is focusing on motor cargo legal liability claims and property claims.  Selena looks forward to growing with Markel in the expansion of the marine book of business.

Selena likes classical music but love operas.  Her youngest son has a music degree and plays the cello for more than 10 years.  They both love Yo-yo Ma.
