Leona Tetrault

Biography

LEONA TETRAULT is a Senior Technical Specialist in the General Liability division of the Travelers Indemnity Company, having held this position since 1997. In this role Ms. Tetrault routinely handles high severity premises, products, Labor Law, A & E, completed operations and contractual liability claims. Notable reported successes include including the matter of Blake v. Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, 1 N.Y.3d 280, 771 N.Y.S.2d 4848. Prior to this role she served as the Associate Manager for General Liability with the Travelers Insurance Company in Melville, New York , managing all aspects of four Commercial General Liability claim units, including a unit in White Plains, consisting of supervisors, inside and field representatives, and support staff with varied levels of experience.  Ms. Tetrault began her career as a National and Liability Claim Consultant with Aetna Casualty & Surety where she managed a General Liability Claim unit handled the highest severity commercial Product liability, Labor Law/Construction, Premises, Auto/Garage, Personal Auto and Homeowner claims, including catastrophic injury in the field office, reporting directly on exposure to the Claim Manager (who utilized field policy limit settlement authority), provided technical guidance and mentoring to claim professionals via formal and informal training and consultations, selected for and participated in, a National Technical Expert panel and the off-site joint NYS underwriting and claim project “Improving General Liability and Contractors’ Loss Ratios”.  Ms. Tetrault is a passionate advocate for public well being and welfare and has generously donated her time and talents to, among others, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, United Way of America Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, The Marcum Workplace Challenge, The Bowery Mission P. O. T. S. Bronx, NY Habitat for Humanity in Nassau County/Suffolk County . Ms. Tetrault is holds a B.A. Business Degree, Magna Cum Laude from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and a B.S. in Bioloty, Suma Cum Laude, from SUNY Old Westbury. State University of New York College at Old Westbury.
