Mitzi McLean has been engaged in the practice of law since 2007. Mrs. McLean was in private practice for approximately 7 years. During that time, her practice was focused on general civil defense of businesses against a wide variety of claims and litigation that were covered by insurance agreements. Mrs. McLean also provided coverage analysis and opinions to insurance companies. While in private practice, Mrs. McLean was selected as a Mid-South Rising Start in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Since 2014, Mrs. McLean served in various in-house roles with highly regulated organizations in the insurance and health-care industries.
Mrs. McLean received her preparatory education at the University of Southern Mississippi, Gulf-Park (B.S. Business Management, 2002) and went on to receive her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi (M.B.A. 2004) before entering law school. Mrs. McLean completed her legal education at Mississippi College School of Law where she served as the Representative to the American Bar Association, STAR Mentor, and as a National Competitor for the Moot Court Board at the American Bar Association’s National Negotiation Competition. Mrs. McLean is presently a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, CLM, Defense Research Institute, Tennessee Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, and Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.
