Karen Moriarty

Biography

Karen Moriarty is a partner at Coughlin Midlige & Garland LLP . Her practice concentrates in the areas of insurance and reinsurance coverage litigation on behalf of insurers and reinsurers in jurisdictions across the nation. Karen has significant experience representing insurers in both litigated and non-litigated matters involving a wide variety of claims concerning comprehensive general liability, sexual molestation, long tail claims including asbestos and pollution claims, professional liability, construction defect, and construction-related risk transfer issues.
 
Karen has presented to insurance company clients on varied insurance coverage topics, conducts in-house training/mentoring, and has advocated for women in insurance and in the practice of law through her positions with both professional organizations and Coughlin Duffy Initiatives. Karen was listed in Best Lawyers in America©, Insurance Law (2021).
 
When not practicing law, Karen enjoys hiking, traveling, and gardening.
