Biography

Danielle P. Rubin is the Senior Manager for Crew Claims and Litigation at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.  In 2014, Royal Caribbean will visit 235 ports in 69 countries on 6 continents.  Ms. Rubin is responsible for management of all crew member claims for the cruise line’s fleet of forty ships.  She manages a team of claims adjusters responsible for investigating and settling claims; evaluates claims for settlement; manages litigation and outside counsel; and works closely with claimant’s counsel regarding employee benefits and maintenance and cure obligations. Prior to that, Ms. Rubin was an attorney in private practice with a Florida law firm where she was responsible for defending cruise lines, tour operators, and travel companies in various personal injury suits brought by passengers, crewmembers, and travel customers.
Ms. Rubin earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, where she was the Executive Editor of the Psychology, Public Policy, and Law Journal.  She earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Miami.  She is a member of the Florida and New York bars.
