Biography

Christopher L. Aikens, Sr., is a respected claims executive and industry educator with over 20 years of experience leading complex liability, professional lines, cyber, and multi-line claims operations. He currently serves as Liability Claims Director for General Liability & Professional Liability at Reserv, where he oversees a team of GL and Cyber claims professionals and drives strategy for investigations, reserving accuracy, fraud mitigation, litigation management, and operational excellence. He partners closely with clients, brokers, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to strengthen claim outcomes and enhance best-practice standards across the organization.

Before joining Reserv, Christopher served as Assistant Vice President of Claims within the Carrier Practice at Gallagher Bassett Services, Inc., leading branch operations, implementing technical standards, and collaborating across business units to improve processes and elevate client service. He previously served as Senior Claims Manager for Moss & Associates, where he managed the company’s full property and liability claims portfolio, guided investigations, clarified complex coverage issues, and supported enterprise-wide risk and claims strategies.

Earlier in his career, Christopher held progressively senior roles at Gallagher Bassett, AmTrust Financial Services, and CNA Insurance. His technical background includes New York Labor Law, complex general liability, medical malpractice, commercial auto, and other high-severity matters, including unsupported excess litigation. His foundational leadership experience in telecommunications and customer service further shaped his strengths in communication, coaching, and performance management.

Christopher is also a frequent national speaker and multi-year CLM Conference Panelist, presenting on topics such as catastrophic injury defense, the Reptile Theory, expert methodology challenges, and optimizing panel counsel performance. His sessions are known for blending real-world case insight with practical and strategic guidance.

He holds a Florida All-Lines Adjuster License and completed studies in Legal Studies at Keiser University and Voice & Musical Performance at Syracuse University.
