Biography
Shelly Rorie obtained her associates degree in nursing from Charlotte Mecklenburg School of Nursing, her bachelor’s in Health Sciences from MUSC and her Master’s in Health Law from Nova Southeastern University. She has also completed several risk management educational programs to include earning her certificate in Health Care Risk Management from the University of South Florida. Shelly works closely with the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) teaching Just Culture around the state and assisting with other collaborative programs including High Reliability in Healthcare settings. She is currently the director of Patient Safety and Risk Management for Palmetto Health, a Columbia SC based not for profit organization, leading the risk program for an 1138 bed system and 40 ambulatory practice settings.
