Cynthia Ruggerio

Biography

Cynthia Ruggerio is Senior Litigation Counsel with AmeriTrust Insurance Group.  She has over 25 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation and claims analysis involving construction defect, environmental, and toxic tort matters. While in private practice, Cynthia was a partner with the insurance coverage litigation groups at Carroll, McNulty & Kull, LLP, and Christie, Pabarue, Mortensen and Young, PC, both located in Philadelphia, PA. Cynthia has represented insurers of developers, contractors, and design professionals in disputes pertaining to commercial and residential construction projects.  She has also represented insurer clients in environmental coverage matters involving federal and state regulatory compliance actions and related issues. Cynthia also previously served as in-house coverage counsel for the CIGNA Companies and OneBeacon Insurance Group.

Cynthia earned a B.S. in Biology from Fairfield University in 1984, and a J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School in 1987.  She served as law clerk to the Honorable David G. Eynon, of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Camden, NJ.  She was admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars in 1987, is admitted to several federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court (2010).
