Michael Daoussis

Biography

Michael has over 41 years in the insurance industry and joined Wells Fargo at the beginning of 2011. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Michael ran departments dedicated to complex risk programs for construction clients at Willis in Los Angeles and Phoenix.  Prior to his experience at Willis, Michael ran the Construction unit in the Los Angeles office of Lockton Insurance Brokers. Michael spent almost a decade in the procurement of reinsurance as the Casualty Director for Guy Carpenter & Co. , the world’s largest reinsurance intermediary in their Los Angeles office. Michael spent time working in London as a reinsurance broker within Lloyds and other London based insurers and reinsurers.

In 2005 Michael was granted authority by underwriters at Lloyds and permitted to underwrite insurance on behalf of Lloyds in the U.S.  In 2009 Michael created an insuring mechanism to provide a novation for insurers (obligee) to accept a new means (obligor) for  which aged Self Insured obligations could be met going forward in order to trigger coverage under the insurers policy.  Michael graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Southern California and completed the Executive MBA program at the University of California, Los Angeles.
