Biography

Mrs. Jean-Baptiste is a Specialty Lines Claims Manager for Starr Companies, and has over 10 years experience handling claims for several major insurance carriers including ACE, CNA and Freedom Specialty Insurance Company. Over the past 10 years, Mrs. Jean-Baptiste has been involved in the management of employment practices liability, private company directors & officer’s liability claims (including not-for-profits) and professional liability. Mrs. Jean-Baptiste has managed all aspects of these claims including but not limited to: initial review; coverage analysis/determination; assignment and management of defense counsel; liability and damages analysis of underlying claim; implementation of resolution strategies; and negotiation of settlements/participation mediations. Ms. Jean-Baptiste previously worked as a Public Finance Associate for the law firm of Pullman & Comley, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Ms. Jean-Baptiste received her B.A. from the City College of New York and her J.D. from George Washington University Law School. Ms. Jean-Baptiste is currently admitted to practice law in Conecticut and New York.
