Biography

Wendy M. Kent is an experienced trial attorney and civil litigator with over 25 years of experience defending employment discrimination, wrongful termination, professional malpractice, and product liability lawsuits.  Now a Claim Counsel at Travelers in Lake Oswego, Oregon, Wendy applies her expertise overseeing litigated claims involving employment practices, directors and officers and fiduciary liability. Prior to joining Travelers, Wendy was a partner at Bodyfelt Mount LLC, one of the only predominately female owned defense firms in the Pacific Northwest. Wendy also spent nine years as senior litigator and managing attorney for Zurich North America Insurance Company’s staff legal office in Portland, Oregon.  Her practice has been devoted to serving the insurance industry in all phases of civil litigation, including trial and appeal.  Wendy is licensed to practice in the state courts of Oregon, Washington and Utah as well as the U.S. District Courts of Oregon and Utah. 
 
Originally from upstate New York, Wendy traveled to the University of Colorado at Boulder where she earned her B.A. then continued west to attend law school at the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.  She is active in numerous industry and legal organizations including the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, Loss Executives Association and the Defense Research Institute. Locally, she volunteers for several community organizations and is a High School Mock Trial coach and judge.  Wendy spends her free time traveling all over the country on her Triumph motorcycles.
