Biography

I started my career at Tokio Marine Claims Service in Los Angeles right out of College as a claims examiner handling product liability cases. I worked there for a couple of years and then spent the next 18 ½ years with Allianz Global Corporate Specialty in Los Angeles. When I left Allianz my title was AVP and I was the Head of the Casualty Claims Operation for North America. I left Allianz and spent 3 ½ years with Endurance US Insurance Company in Los Angeles as the VP of Claims overseeing the US Claims exposure for both casualty and property. I then experimented with being an independent consultant for a couple years and then took the present job I have with United Fire Group in Houston as the Assistant Vice President and Regional Claim Manager for the Gulf Coast.  I oversee the Casualty, Property, and Workers Compensation clams operation for the Gulf Coast Region.
I have 27 years experience in the claims profession, having managed and/or overseen departments that manage product liability, general liability, environmental litigation, asbestosis litigation, mass torts, commercial property, E&O, D&O, and subrogation in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, and over ten foreign countries. Also have significant international management experience, being a core member of an international claims management team that developed international protocols for various claims operations around the world.
