Rhonda Otto

Biography

Rhonda Otto is a Loss Prevention Coordinator at Averitt Express, Inc.  Rhonda has 13 years of fleet transportation experience where she began her career with Averitt as a Loss Prevention Leader in Cargo Claims and was instrumental in leading Averitt’s Quality service with one of the lowest claims ratio in the industry.  Three years ago, Rhonda transitioned from Cargo Claims Loss Prevention to working with their most valued resources—Averitt’s human assets—in accident and injury prevention.  In her current role, Rhonda works at Averitt’s Corporate Campus in Cookeville, TN, where she coordinates efforts with all 3 of Averitt’s largest service divisions (Truckload, Less-Than-Truckload, and Supply Chain) at over 140 locations, with 8,000 associates, and nearly 5,000 tractors and 14,000 trailers to prevent vehicle accidents and work injuries.  In her current position, Rhonda has led many pilot projects related to tractor safety technology (where multiple vendors have been tested in various formats with recorded metrics), data analytics, and root cause/preventative action results methods.  Rhonda attended Tennessee Technological University for Business Administration and Phoenix University for Accounting and holds a license in Architectural Design & Engineering for wood truss systems, Tennessee Home Inspector, and Accounting.
