Biography

Patricia A. Nolan, a Texas lawyer, has been representing businesses and executives in all varieties of business disputes for more than 30 years.  For the last ten years, she has been a Member of the American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Neutrals for Large, Complex Commercial Disputes.  She also is a public arbitrator for the financial industry through FINRA. 

In her practice as an advocate, Patty handles contract and real estate claims, trade secret disputes, fiduciary breach and fraud matters for corporate victims, and disputes among closely held corporations and partners.  She often is local counsel for national firms. 

As an arbitrator, her cases involve contract and partnership disputes, real estate claims, and business and insurance matters involving the healthcare industry.  In addition, she has served on panels for international contract disputes and securities claims.

She has been a solo or small-firm practitioner since 2004.  She previously was a partner in the trial department of Thompson & Knight, LLP, and began her career with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.

Patty has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Texas for business litigation and one of D Magazine’s Best Lawyers for alternative dispute resolution.  She frequently speaks on arbitration
