Honorable Elaine Gordon

Biography

The Honorable Elaine Gordon, a principle member of Gordon ADR, an Alternative Dispute Resolution company, specializing in Mediations and Arbitrations.  She is a member of American Arbitration Association Roster of Neutrals; National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals; Connecticut Children’s Justice Foundation; a board member of the Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut; a Special Master of the United States District Court and a Discovery Master for the Connecticut Superior Court. 
 
From 1988 to 2011 she adjudicated or facilitated the resolution of thousands of criminal, family and civil cases, in a variety of subject areas, including business, employment, partnership, construction, personal injury, property, land use, estate, and family disputes. 
 
She is an instructor of Trial Skills at Yale Law School; and has also been an instructor for various judicial institutes such as Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Jersey; National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. 
 
Prior to her appointment to the bench she was a practicing attorney in the areas of civil; criminal; family and governmental matters.  She is also a recipient of the Judge Robert Zampano Excellence in Mediation Award given by Community Mediation, Inc.
