Lindsay Huffman

Biography

Lindsay is the Workers’ Compensation Field Claims Director for Amerisure Insurance.  In her capacity in that role, she leads the teams in Amerisure’s Tampa, Atlanta, Memphis, Charlotte and Richmond Core Service Centers. 
 
Lindsay began her career practicing Social Security Disability (SSD) Law in Chicago for a national law firm. She represented over 2000 claimants at SSD hearings. She then moved her practice to workers compensation defense representing numerous carriers. She then transitioned to working for a carrier in the capacity of a Corporate Technical Claims Consultant. She focused on high severity and high complexity workers’ compensation claims and provided technical advisement and guidance on claims practices such as investigation, evaluation, reserving and deposition of claims consistent with internal and industry best standard practice.  She then became the Medicare Compliance, Data and Analytics manager for AFICS where she was responsible for Medicare compliance for four operating companies. 

Lindsay obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Butler University and her JD from Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. She is licensed to practice law in IL.
 
Lindsay remains an active member of CLM and is a frequent speaker at the Workers’ Compensation Conference. She is a volunteer for Mended Hearts of Chicago and Kids Chance of Illinois. Lindsay lives in Downers Grove, IL with her husband Kirt, stepdaughter Bridget and golden retriever Ellie. She loves to cook, travel, listen to live music and spend time with her family.
