Paloma Ramirez

Biography

Paloma Ramirez is an insurance industry professional with years of experience in complex claims including construction defect, construction risk, property, and products liability.  She has been working in the Construction Defect arena in both legal and claims capacities for over 23 years.  This unique perspective has led to a deep understanding of the intersections of coverage, claims handling and legal management.  Paloma is currently a Director of Claim in the Construction Defect unit at AmTrust Financial Services.  Her prior work experience includes having worked at Nationwide Insurance and as Senior Counsel at multiple mid-sized defense firms focusing on construction defect litigation.  She earned her Juris Doctorate at Southwestern University School of Law (Moot Court Honors Board and Phi Alpha Delta member) and her bachelor’s degree from UCLA.   Paloma has spoken at several conferences and trainings on various top including claims handling guidelines, litigation management, coverage, and elimination of bias.  Paloma volunteers her time with Little League and education associations.
