Jeff Rieder

Biography

Mr. Rieder is Partner and head of Ward Group, a part of Aon Hewitt, a business unit of Aon plc, with overall leadership and responsibility for the firm.  Mr. Rieder has significant experience in the insurance industry with expertise in the property-casualty and life segments. Throughout his 22 year career, he has been involved with over 400 projects for numerous domestic and international insurance companies, covering a diverse range of performance and strategic evaluations.  In 2011, Mr. Rieder led the sale of Ward Group to Aon and now leads Aon’s global performance benchmarking practice for insurance and the U.S. insurance compensation practice.   Prior to joining Ward Group in 1998, Mr. Rieder spent 5 years at Great American Insurance Company working in the corporate finance departments. 

Mr. Rieder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and International Business Certification from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Chartered Life Underwriter.  

Fun facts

Jeff lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, has 5 children and is an avid marathon runner (PR 3:19) in the process of completing a marathon in every state, with 20 states currently completed.
