Biography
Rick is a Vice-President for BerkleyMed which is an excess insurance carrier that focuses solely on the healthcare professional liability insurance industry with a nationwide distribution.
He has over 30 years of experience with technical oversight on physician, hospital and general liability claims having served in a number of Claim Technical & Management Positions. At BerkleyMed, Rick is responsible for oversight of the most technically complex and highest severity claims with unique fact patterns and precedent-setting matters.
Rick has lectured nationally on claims best practices, defending against the reptile strategy, effective communication skills for risk managers, using the affordable care act to defend against future medical damages, and other claim or risk management related topics.
