Stephen Packard

Biography

 Stephen Packard is a Director in Deloitte Consulting’sInsurance Strategy & Operations practice, based in Hartford, Connecticut.  He has more than 25 years of experience assisting insurance companies deal with some of their most complex business and legal  issues, including:  claims and litigation management; staff counsel operations; business strategy formulation and execution; competitive benchmarking; and claims and underwriting performance improvement..  Stephen is the leader of Deloitte’s Insurance Claims Litigation Management Practice. 

Stephen is an experienced trial attorney and a current member of the Bar of the States of New York and Connecticut.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Stephen served in a variety of senior executive positions at Aetna, Travelers, and The Hartford Insurance Group. He was formerly a partner in Accenture’s global insurance strategy consulting practice.

Stephen has written and spoken on numerous insurance topics at various U.S. and international industry forums.  He is a fellowin the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and a Research Committee Member of the International Insurance Society.
