Biography
Avi M. Attal has defended and advised employers of all sizes for nearly 20 years. He is an experienced trial and appellate attorney having successfully obtained jury and bench verdicts on both discrimination, retaliation, and harassment based claims and obtained favorable outcomes in numerous appeals before the California Courts of Appeal. He also has an established track record of successfully defending employers from claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment as well as wage and hour and PAGA claims in court and arbitration.
Despite repeated litigation successes, Avi strongly believes in proactive efforts to avoid or deter litigation. The best litigation is the one that never happens. Avi counsels employers to recognize that proper policies and procedures will not only protect the company, but improve relations with employees through increased transparency and predictability. Avi has been recognized for his employment seminars to organizations like Vistage, OCBA, Perin, and CLM as a means to encourage and foster understanding and compliance with employment laws.
