Biography

Ryan P. Heller is a Partner at the Firm and joined as an associate in 2017, specializing in the areas of commercial vehicle liability, transportation law, product liability, construction law, municipal liability, and other general liability in both New York and New Jersey. Throughout his career, he has successfully represented hundreds of both individual and corporate clients on matters of auto defense, risk management, community association defense, premises liability, coverage issues, and other litigation. Mr. Heller also has extensive experience in emergency response investigations and the resolution of catastrophic losses.

Mr. Heller has been included on the Rising Star list by New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2021-2024 for his work in the area of Civil Litigation Defense. He is also an active member of the Claims Litigation Management Alliance and Trucking Industry Defense Association.

Prior to joining Callahan & Fusco, Mr. Heller served three years as trial counsel to a litigation firm in New York State and tried numerous cases to verdict throughout the state.  He has significant experience in complex depositions, investigations, appeals, and trial advocacy. He has achieved defense verdicts through both jury trials and arbitration formats for major insurance carriers, large corporations, and private individuals. Mr. Heller also specializes in high-value negotiations and mediations to mitigate risk and resolve critical matters.

While in law school, Mr. Heller also worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank A. Sedita, Jr. in Erie County, as an assistant in the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, and as a summer associate at a Buffalo litigation firm while serving as an editor for the Buffalo Law Review.
