Biography
Jeff Marshall has dedicated 40 years to the risk and claims management industry first as a litigating attorney (starting with the plaintiff's side before moving over to representing self-insured entities, and insurance companies. Along the way, he earned board certification in workers compensation by the New Jersey Supreme Court. As an accomplished risk manager, he has served as the Director of Risk Management for the 7th largest school district in the nation, the Deputy Director of Risk Management for the State of New Jersey and the Claims Manager for one of the largest confectionary manufacturer in the world.
Along the way, Jeff has served as Chair of the Council of Great City Schools’ ad hoc risk management committee, and presented on a wide array of claims and risk issues on the national stages of CLM and other national risk and claims organizations. He is widely published in national publications including CLM Magazine, Risk Management Magazine, PropertyCasualty360 and numerous industry specific journals.
…..And then there were the stops along the journey to serve as mayor and moonlighting as a stand-up comic (though not at the same time). Jeff has also lectured at a number of universities where students have left his lectures with a better understanding of, "Wow, my tuition was just squandered on that?!?!"
