Biography
Shannan Smith joined Lockton in July 2012 and is the Director of Claims for the Mountain West Series. In addition to managing the claims department, Shannan focuses on client accounts in the healthcare, hospitality, risk managment and real estate industries. Shannan handles claims in all lines of coverage including worker’s compensation, general and professional liability, auto, property, D&O and employment practices liability. Before joining Lockton, Shannan spent the first twelve years of her legal career as corporate counsel for a Denver-based travel nurse organization. She received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, then went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and finally obtained her M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.
