Kelly Howell

Biography

Kelly is an Insurance and Risk Consultant with her focus in the Architects/Engineers & Construction space for over 30 years. Kelly is a major stockholder and Vice President at Insurance Office of America (IOA), San Diego branch office.   
Her focus in the Design and Construction risk space affords her the opportunity to truly understand her client’s specific challenges and design a risk transfer program specific to their ever-changing needs. 
Kelly spends much of her time reviewing and negotiating contracts on behalf of her Design Professional clients.  How she longs for a fair and reasonable contract with an insurable indemnity, limitation of liability clause and payment within 30 days of invoice.
Kelly holds her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation since 2003.  She is an associate member of AIA, ACEC and BIA and an active member of the Professional Network of Agents.  Kelly has also served on the AIA Contracts Committee.  She is also a member of CLM.
A California Native, residing in beautiful Ramona, Kelly has been married 27 years with two beautiful boys who are now young adults, (insert wrinkles here).
In her free time, Kelly enjoys water skiing, hiking and travel. She wants to live in a world filled with innovative businesses, books that come bundled with See’s Chocolate and a force field around her business suits that repel dog hair.
