Suzanne Ganier

Biography

Suzanne M. Ganier has spent over thirty years working with and for insurance companies. She has handled hundreds of cases in general liability, automobile liability, products liability, medical malpractice liability, construction defect, insurance coverage, first-party insurance claims, class actions, bad faith claims, and commercial litigation. In addition to trying multiple cases to verdict, Suzanne has arbitrated over a hundred matters (both as an attorney and as an arbitrator) and mediated hundreds of matters to an efficient resolution – without needing a costly trial.

In 2008, Suzanne transitioned to litigation management when she became the Director of Litigation for Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation. Suzanne oversaw and directed all corporate & claim litigation including 7,000 lawsuits arising from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and 4 class actions with exposure greater than $1B. She managed outside counsel and other legal vendors, creating processes and standards for hiring and auditing outside counsel performance. Suzanne reported to the CEO and board regarding litigation strategy, resolution opportunities, legal costs, budget compliance, outside counsel efficiency & effectiveness, and long-term strategic planning for claim and litigation management. Suzanne became an expert in bad faith law, good faith claim handling, and litigation management through this experience.  

In 2011, Suzanne moved began working as Corporate Counsel for a super-regional insurance carrier in Jacksonville, Florida. Suzanne advised Main Street General Counsel and senior executives on legal, insurance, and contractual issues, including underwriting, claims, state insurance laws, and regulations. She oversaw all corporate litigation, including outside counsel and vendor management, appeared as a company representative in legal matters, and approved legal bills. 

In 2009, Suzanne began offering expert services in insurance law, coverage, bad faith, legal operations, and spend management.

Suzanne joined QuisLex in June 2023 as VP of Legal Spend Solutions. In this role, Suzanne is expanding QuisLex's legal spend management business line.
