Biography
Courtney serves as the Director of Risk Management for the University of Chicago. Courtney leads the University’s strategic efforts to identify, evaluate, and analyze risks inherent to the operations of the University, then formulates, implements and administers strategies to efficiently and cost-effectively manage those risks. Earlier career stints as an Account Executive at Arthur J. Gallagher and a VP/Educational Placement Specialist at Marsh, helped mold Courtney into one of the 40 top professionals on track to be the next leaders, as awarded by Business Insurance’s Break Out Awards in June 2017. Courtney sits on the Board of Directors for the University Risk Management and Insurance Association (URMIA). She holds a BS in marketing from Northern Illinois University, in addition to earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.
