Juan Herrera

Biography

Juan Herrera is currently the Global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Partner for XL Catlin, helping to design, position and deliver D&I programs to drive key business goals. Juan has over 20 years’ experience in the corporate, government and non-profit sectors, and has held a variety of communications, human resources and D&I roles. Before joining XL Catlin in March 2017, he was Vice President, Office of Global Inclusion for Viacom, one of the world's leading entertainment companies across television, motion pictures, and digital media platforms. In this role, Juan created and managed global initiatives for the Office of Global Inclusion and worked across various business and corporate teams to build and grow employee engagement initiatives, executive leadership programs, and mentoring programs while serving as a primary liaison with national and professional organizations, advocacy groups and trade associations. Before Viacom, Juan was the Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, D.C., and managed relationships with Fortune 500 companies, community organizations, Congressional offices and government agencies. Juan has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona, Tucson, and has held positions on several Boards, including the Boards of the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications and Housing Works.
