Biography
Edgar Allen Poe, Jr. is an equity member in West Virginia based law firm of Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe. Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe is an insurance defense law firm with approximately fifty attorneys practicing in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. The law firm has offices located in Charleston, Beckley, Morgantown and Martinsburg in order to service all areas of the state. The law firm services insurance clients in all aspects of insurance law from general liability to bad faith to coverage issues. The law firm prides itself on a responsive and collaborative method of doing business in the industry.
As an equity member in the law firm, Mr. Poe has over twenty-five years of experience in defending insureds and insurance companies throughout the state of West Virginia. Mr. Poe is well recognized within the industry as a trusted advisor and panel counsel to insurance companies and as a seasoned trial lawyer for their insureds. Mr. Poe has also received the designation of Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) from the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance Litigation Management Institute hosted at Columbia Law School.
Mr. Poe routinely conducts and participates in seminars relevant and timely to the insurance industry and to the defense of insureds. Mr. Poe is actively involved in the West Virginia legal community through the West Virginia State Bar, Defense Trial Council of West Virginia and other organizations. Nationally, Mr. Poe is active in DRI and serves as a State Chair for The Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
Mr. Poe is also active in his community, having served in a variety of volunteer capacities in the past through various professional, religious and political organizations. Mr. Poe presently serves as Vice President and legal counsel of the United States Tae Kwon Do Won, Inc.
