Biography
David Ripley is the Medical Director of the Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation Program at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab and holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor in the Department of PM&R at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Through this role, he is involved in the clinical care of individuals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury throughout the continuum of recovery, from ICU management, rehabilitation management, through return to work or school as appropriate. During his tenure at Craig Hospital in Denver (2004 – 2012) he served as Medical Director for the Rocky Mountain Regional Brain Injury Model System of Care for the 2007-2012 TBI Model Systems. His experience gives him expertise in the long-term medical, functional, and neurocognitive impairments that patients with traumatic brain injury experience throughout their recovery.
