Biography

Nurishah (Lili) Knushaj is a cyber claims leader with deep expertise in financial lines and cyber liability, currently serving as Director, Claims at Cowbell Cyber. With progressive leadership experience in a high-growth insurtech environment, she oversees complex first- and third-party cyber claims portfolios, including ransomware, data breaches, business interruption, class action litigation, and large-loss exposures. She provides strategic direction for claims operations, partnering closely with underwriting, product, legal, and sales teams to align claims insights with risk selection, policy language, and business objectives.
 
Recognized for building and scaling high-performing teams, Lili has established governance frameworks and driven operational excellence during periods of accelerated growth. She advises executive leadership on claims strategy, organizational design, reserving practices, and enterprise risk mitigation. She maintains direct oversight of high-severity matters, ensuring disciplined coverage analysis, consistent reserving, and effective resolution strategies. She frequently represents the claims function in broker and client engagements, supporting retention and new business development through transparent analytics and thought leadership.
 
Previously, Lili held senior cyber and professional liability claims roles at Chubb, managing complex E&O and excess professional liability portfolios. She holds an LL.M. in American Business Law and a Bachelor of Law, along with a Texas Adjuster’s License. She is fluent in Albanian and English, with proficiency in Spanish and Italian, offering a global perspective to cyber risk and claims leadership.
