Heather Maher

Biography

Heather is  Vice President of Claims and Risk Management for Swift Transportation based in Phoenix, Arizona. Most recently, Heather was the Vice President of Risk Management and Claims Counsel for Ralph Lauren Corporation in New York, where she has global responsibility for the ERM, Insurance and Claims functions. Prior to joining Ralph Lauren Corporation, Heather was the Vice President of Risk Management and Litigation Counsel for Borden Dairy Company, based in Dallas, Texas. Borden Dairy Company processes and distributes fluid milk and cultured dairy products throughout the United States. Heather was responsible for managing the Company's litigation, including transportation, premises, product liability, and commercial litigation. Heather also managed a team of in-house claims adjusters.

Heather is a member of the State Bar of Texas,  the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Phi Delta Phi, and RIMS. She is a member for the State Bar of Texas committee for Women in the Profession and also a member of the CLM Transportation Committee. Heather received her Certified Litigation Management Professional designation after completing the inaugural LMI course in October, 2011 at Columbia Law School. She has also participated as a panelist at the last two CLM Annual Conference.
