Biography

Brenda Chitty is the Workers’ Compensation Supervisor for Illinois Casualty Company in Rock Island, Illinois. She has over 20 years of experience in the workers’ compensation space, applying risk management strategies from the lens of an adjuster, supervisor, and client. She believes the most successful injured worker recoveries come from common-sense claims handling with an empathic approach. Her results-oriented, big-picture thinking enables her to communicate and bridge gaps between injured workers, subordinates, leadership, agencies, and clients. 
 
Brenda’s strong industry expertise enables her to create, implement and share successful return-to-work programs, claims handling guidelines and techniques, workflow for a centralized reporting intake team, and a fluid nurse triage program. She engages in strategic partnerships that align with her philosophies in claims handling. She takes pride in mentoring and training those new to the workers' compensation scene. 
 
Brenda currently oversees multi-jurisdictional workers’ compensation claims, workflow administration with TPAs, and addresses operational inefficiencies. She enjoys collaborating with others and building long-lasting relationships with her partners. She ensures agents are satisfied with her company’s services and works to overcome any challenges her clients face. Brenda’s success comes from her strong industry expertise and passion for developing relationships.
 
Brenda is married to her wonderful husband of 38 years. They have 2 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, taking vacations to the beach, indulging her grandchildren, and helping those in need.
 
Brenda obtained her WCLS designation July 2021.
