Biography

Ms. Sullivan is a partner at the law firm of Gwertzman Lefkowitz Smith Marcus & Sullivan, a boutique law firm located in lower Manhattan focusing on insurance subrogation recovery in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey on behalf of property and casualty carriers.

Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Ms. Sullivan served as in-house Senior Counsel, Subrogation Line Lead for Travelers Insurance, providing a broad range of in-house legal support to Travelers’ Subrogation Claim department.

Prior to Travelers, Ms. Sullivan was a litigation partner at Robinson & Cole. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, she represented clients on a national level, focusing her practice on large loss property subrogation, product liability defense and commercial litigation.

Ms. Sullivan has been an active member of trade organizations focusing on subrogation, including the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP), where she has served as editor of Subrogator Magazine,  co-chair for the Property Track of the NASP National Conference, and co-chair of the NASP Northeast Chapter. Ms. Sullivan has also delivered presentations on subrogation, including the NASP National Conference, local chapter meetings and webinars; the Defense Research Institute Insurance Coverage and Claims Conference in 2016; the America’s Claims Event conference in 2018 and the CLM Southeast Conference in 2018.

Ms. Sullivan is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York and Connecticut, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York. Ms. Sullivan attended New York University (B.A. 1991) and Quinnipiac University School of Law (J.D. magna cum laude, 2002).
