Randall Norris

Biography

Randall Norris has been a staff attorney at Motorists Insurance Group in Columbus, Ohio since 2007, where he manages complex commercial litigation in over 30 states and Canada through outside counsel. His cases range from construction defects, employment practices, products- related personal injuries and copyright infringement, to bad faith suits. He advises the Special Investigations Unit on fraud issues and also serves as general counsel to Motorists Life Insurance Company.

He received his BA, summa cum laude, in History from Western Kentucky University in 1978 and his JD from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1982.  He is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Virginia and Ohio.

Prior to joining Motorists, he served for 16 years as a prosecutor in central Kentucky while concurrently running a private law practice and teaching law in the Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University as an adjunct faculty member.

Following law school and graduation from Naval Justice School, he began his career as a Navy Judge Advocate, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  He has also served as Assistant General Counsel for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
