Biography

Barbara Brown received her Bachelors of Arts from Brigham Young University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin.  Barbara began her career at the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease.  She worked in the litigation group as a defense litigator.  Barbara joined Motorists Mutual Insurance Company as a Senior Litigation Attorney handling a variety of cases, including bad faith.  Barbara then went into management as the Columbus Claims Branch Manager, managing both commercial and personal lines claims throughout the United States. In 2014, Barbara joined Grange Mutual Casualty Company as a Senior Litigation Counsel.  In that role, she managed outside panel counsel in defending a variety of matters, including bad faith.  Barbara also served as Claims Legal Manager and Director of Legal before transitioning into the position of Assistant Vice President, Claims Casualty & Legal in 2018.  Barbara oversees the areas of personal lines third party injury liability, commercial lines third party liability injury, commercial general liability, first party medical, Workers Compensation and all claims litigation.  Barbara has received her CPCU and AIC designations.
