Jeffrey Mastalski

Biography

Jeff Mastalski is a Vice President with Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice, based in the Secaucus, New Jersey office. Jeff is a highly accomplished computer forensics expert, who prior to joining Kroll was a Forensic Examiner in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Philadelphia Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory (RCFL), capping a distinguished 12-year career with the Philadelphia Police Department. In his role as a Forensic Examiner at the RCFL, Jeff examined digital evidence in hundreds of criminal investigations.  
Jeff started his career with the Philadelphia Police Department as a Police Officer based in a high-crime division in which he served for approximately 9 years. He began transitioning to the RCFL as a Computer Forensics Examiner in 2013. In this role, he served as the subject matter expert in complex investigations concerning digital evidence, which included reporting findings of forensic analysis, providing authorities with pre-seizure consultation, on-site seizure and if necessary, courtroom testimony. Jeff graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and holds several industry certifications and awards.
