Vishal Garg

Biography

Vishal Garg has more than 20 years of professional experience in Information Technology, and currently plays the role of Senior Enterprise Information Architect for Farmers Insurance.
 
After graduating from Mumbai University in India with a Masters in Management Studies and a Bachelors in Engineering in Electronics, Vishal began his career as a software engineer at S.S. Consultants India. From there, he worked with BF Goodrich Aerospace, Netdecisions and Agilisys Managed Services India. He joined Tech Mahindra in their IT strategy consulting unit, advising clients in insurance, retail, and telecommunication industries on business / IT alignment and application rationalization activities
 
He subsequently joined Zenith Insurance Company in 2007 where he was head of Enterprise Data and Regulatory Reporting. In this role, he led Zenith’s data organization and was responsible for developing and implementing data strategy across the enterprise, with a particular focus on building an enterprise ODS. He led several key initiatives focused on data security (including data encryption, data masking in non-production environments, and data archiving in the production systems) and modernization of legacy regulatory reporting systems.
 
Vishal has worked in multiple countries with countless numbers professional over the years, helping him deliver innovative ideas to the Farmers enterprise.
 
He has received recognition as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a TOGAF Certified Enterprise Architect, and a Technical Management Program member.
