Jeff Kichaven

Biography

JEFF KICHAVEN is one of the country's leading mediators of litigated cases, with a particular emphasis on Insurance Coverage matters.  He is an Honors Graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D. Cum Laude, 1980) and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (A.B. Economics, 1977).  He practiced Business Litigation for 15 years before becoming a full-time mediator in independent practice in 1996.  In 2006, he was named California Lawyer Attorney of the Year in ADR, and in 2007 he taught the Master Class for Mediators for Harvard Law School.  In 2010, he received the Award for Excellence in Mediation from the Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center for his commitment to Diversity and his national leadership in the field.  He has been named to the Daily Journal's list of California's Top Mediators five times, most recently in October, 2010.  He has served as a Trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (2002-2004) and President of the Southern California Mediation Association (2005).  He is a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators and a Director of Los Angeles' Center for Civic Mediation.  www.jeffkichaven.com, www.youtube.com/user/jeffkichaven.
