Biography
Jim Abbott, CEO, JMA Global. Jim is Past President of the CLM Greater St. Louis Chapter.
With over 40 years’ experience in the property & casualty insurance industry, Jim has managed client relations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia with active responsibility spanning more than five countries.
Jim began his career with the Aetna Insurance Company, where in a 15 year career throughout the Midwest and Southwest he rose from adjuster-trainee to Assistant Vice President. Jim’s responsibilities included overall management of the southwest regional property and casualty claim operations as well as the nationwide catastrophe response program and special investigation units.
Following his company experience, Jim assumed the role of Vice President and Head of Claims for a leading brokerage house and an international TPA and adjusting firm managing the operations and advisory claim staff with direct responsibility for establishing and maintaining key client relationships. This ultimately led him to his role of President and COO of a multi-national TPA and Independent Adjusting firm.
Jim’s expertise in managing the technical and relationship aspects of property and casualty claim programs for domestic/ foreign insurers and program administrators enhances his role as CEO of JMA Global.
