C. J. Childers

Biography

C.  J.  Childers was born in Virginia and raised in the resort town of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.  After graduating from Greenbrier East High School in Fairlea, West Virginia, he attended Bridgewater College where he obtained a degree in business administration.  He then obtained his J. D. from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1999 and has been licensed in North Carolina since that time.  In 2000, he was admitted to practice in South Carolina.

Mr. Childers began practicing in Charlotte, North Carolina with a regional defense firm that focused primarily on general liability, workers' compensation and medical malpractice litigation.  Following just over six years of private practice across North and South Carolina, Mr. Childers began with Family Dollar Stores, Inc. in 2006 as Litigation Counsel in charge of the company's general liability litigation.  In 2008, he stepped into the role of Senior Litigation Counsel and took on the additional responsibilities of managing the company's commercial and real estate litigation.

Mr. Childers resides in Matthews, North Carolina with his son.
