Sun S. Choy practices in the Government Law and General and Business Liability sections of the firm.  He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and serves as Chair of the General and Business Liability section.  He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University (B.S.) and his law degree from University of Louisville (J.D.) where he was a member of the Journal of Family Law. 

Mr. Choy has defended local governments and law enforcement officers throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Georgia in Section 1983 litigation. He has also represented privately held and publicly traded companies in cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

Mr. Choy has lectured to attorneys throughout the country and authored numerous articles on topics related to the defense of civil rights and personal injury claims. One topic relates to Mr. Choy's successful defense of a deputy sheriff that resulted in Scott v. Harris, the United States Supreme Court's landmark decision establishing the parameters for the use of force in a high-speed pursuit. He has also been selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer "Rising Star" as published by Law & Politics and Atlanta Magazine.
