Samara Landis

Biography

Samara is an AVP, Corporate Claims Manager at Selective Insurance Company of America.  With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, her knowledge is informed by roles specializing in medical malpractice insurance, health and dental insurance, stop loss, and property and casualty.    

In her current role, Samara oversees and manages all General Liability claims which include non-litigated, litigated, and complex claims teams.  She manages a staff of 76 through 7 direct-report managers in all functions of the General Liability Claims operation necessary to provide prompt and efficient handling of all GL claims.  She acts as a liaison with Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Corporate Legal. 

Samara is a graduate of Widener University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Prior to law school, Samara obtained her bachelor's degree in Government from Franklin & Marshall College.  She holds her AIC, AINS and CCP designations and is currently halfway through completing her CPCU and ACP designations.  She is passionate about insurance, her work, and striving to empower those around her to achieve greater success in all they do.
