Biography

As a Vice President in Allied World’s North American Claims Group, Nicole manages high severity and complex employment practices liability (EPL) claims and coverage litigation across the country under varied insurance policies. She also is a member of the U.S. Claims Department’s training committee, and is involved with both new hire training and compilation and maintenance of departmental references and resources. Before assuming this role, Nicole led a team of senior claims analysts responsible for the company’s EPL and governmental liability claims nationwide, prior to which she was a senior claims analyst who managed a variety of EPL, governmental liability, directors and officers, and managed care errors and omissions claims.

Before joining Allied World, Nicole was a senior claims officer with Chubb Specialty Insurance in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she managed high severity claims nationwide including mass/class actions, government initiated actions, and litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment,  retaliation and wrongful termination. Nicole’s previous professional experience includes practicing as a  management-side labor and employment attorney with Pepe & Hazard LLP in Hartford, Connecticut (which has since merged with McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP). She has spoken at numerous legal and insurance industry conferences and seminars over the years.

Nicole earned her B.A. from the University of Connecticut and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she also served as managing editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal. She is a member of the bar in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York. Nicole also is a graduate of Allied  World’s 2013 global High Potential (HIPO) Leadership Program. She relocated to Allied World’s Atlanta  office in July 2017.
