Biography
With 25+ years of experience, Rob Sturm currently serves as the Associate General Counsel / Chief Litigation Counsel at CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, which offers automobile, homeowners and other personal lines of insurance to AAA members. Rob leads the in-house litigation practice groups including insurance defense, subrogation, employment, commercial, securities, and class action litigation. Rob also manages the company’s external third-party insurance defense panel counsel and external corporate litigation counsel and is responsible for overseeing legal operations. Prior to joining CSAA Insurance Group in 2008, Rob served as Assistant General Counsel with JELD-WEN Windows & Doors and as a Shareholder with Littler Mendelson.
Among other community activities, Rob served for many years on the Board of Directors for the non-profit Northern California Employment Round Table and was elected to the school district governing board in Lafayette, California in 2018.
Rob is licensed by the California and Oregon State Bar Associations and is a Property & Casualty producer agent in 24 states.
