Biography
Victoria Metaxas is an attorney in the New Haven, Connecticut office of LeClairRyan, P.C. She focuses her practice on insurance defense and products liability. Over her career, she has worked for the New York City Corporation Counsel, a major property and casualty insurer and in private practice. She has represented the City of New York, insurance companies, property owners, real estate developers, construction companies, manufacturers, motor vehicle lessors, retailers, trucking companies, doctors, hospitals and nursing homes. Throughout her career, she has handled cases involving negligence and intentional torts. Ms. Metaxas has handled all stages of litigation, from inception through trials and appeals. She is the co-author of a training manual on New York law governing joint and several liability, contribution, indemnity and the collateral source rule. Ms. Metaxas has also presented on these issues for in-house claims personnel.
