Biography

CEO of esumry, which provides litigation guidance software and tools for getting pretrial work done faster. By combining generative AI with legal subject matter expertise, esumry enables an end-to-end litigated claim intelligence and workflow solution for resolving lawsuits faster, more efficiently and less expensively. The company also provides claims and legal technology advisory services.

Before founding esumry, James Chapman was a nationally recognized insurance defense attorney. He is a member of the FDCC (Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel), an Entrepreneurial Research Fellow of the National Science Foundation, and finalist in the USAA 100 Year Pitch Competition.  He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized for his litigation expertise by Best Lawyers in America since 2007.
