Biography

Erin Gleason Alvarez serves as Director of Legal Strategies for AIG, where she has worked for six years.  Erin oversees the development and implementation of corporate initiatives to reduce legal costs, including Alternative Dispute Resolution and Alternative Fee Agreement programs.  Erin is an active member of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), where she serves on the Executive Advisory Committee and Mediation Committee.  In January 2008, she was honored by CPR with an award for her article, “International Arbitral Appeals: What Are We So Afraid Of?”  Erin is a member of the adjunct faculty for the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law, where she also received an L.L.M. in Dispute Resolution in 2006. Prior to her studies, Erin practiced commercial and employment litigation in New York City.
